Hello Kind Friends! Backyard Humanitarians are volunteers and community partners who coordinate, collect, pick up coats, count, sort & deliver. Together we are ALL Backyard Humanitarians working together as a team. Please consider giving a NEW, VERY WARM COAT. If it's not new please be sure it is "like new" and clean please! PLEASE, no rips, stains, missing buttons or broken zippers. Give a coat that you'd like to have on the coldest day you can imagine! If you know someone who needs a coat, let us know! Email us - [email protected]. We believe that EVERYONE deserves a warm coat. No questions asked, except, "What size do you need?"
Register your drive with us to be listed on our site & social media as an official BH Coat Drive Community Partner and to get an editable flyer that you can customize with your logo & details. [email protected]
Coats go directly and immediately to those in need in our community! No questions asked except "what's your size?"
About the BH Coat Drive The Backyard Humanitarian Coat Drive is an annual community-wide, volunteer effort run by Backyard Humanitarian. Our goal is to collect warm coats of all sizes that are new or like new, warm, clean, and ready to wear. Then, give to anyone who needs one for free. Many community non-profits rely on us to provide coats for their clients. The BH Coat Drive idea came about on an extremely hot summer day in 2010 and we had our first drive that winter!
BH Coat Drive Calendar Each year we aim to start collecting and giving before it gets too cold. The collection dates are flexible and are often extended due to the different conditions, needs, volunteer availability and the weather. Coats are given out right away. Partners can join anytime and are encouraged to register so we can connect, list partners on our website, coordinate, advertise public collection locations. Each year we need a headquarters location that we can use for the length of the coat drive. If you know of an available space (small office) that we can use for the fall /winter, please let us know.
