About the BH Coat Drive
The Backyard Humanitarian Coat Drive is an all volunteer effort in the Stamford area, working together since 2010!
Volunteers & Partners gather warm coats that people would like to donate to others in our community. All sizes that are new or like new, warm, clean, and ready to wear are needed. Coats go immediately & directly to anyone who needs one including individuals, local non-profit agencies & shelters.
The BH Coat Drive idea for our 1st project as a group came about on an extremely hot summer day at a local meet up at Springdale park. We had our first drive that winter!

The collection dates are flexible and are often extended due to the different conditions, needs, volunteer availability and the weather.
Partners can join anytime and are encouraged to register so we can connect, list partners on our website, coordinate and share info for public collection locations.
