About the BH Coat Drive
The Backyard Humanitarian Coat Drive is an all volunteer effort. We gather warm coats that people would like to donate to others. All sizes that are new or like new, warm, clean, and ready to wear are needed. Coats go directly to anyone who needs one including local non-profit agencies & shelters. All coats are given free, to anyone, without any requirements.
The BH Coat Drive idea for Stamford came about on an extremely hot summer day at a local meet up at a park and we had our first drive that winter!

The collection dates are flexible and are often extended due to the different conditions, needs, volunteer availability and the weather.
Partners can join anytime and are encouraged to register so we can connect, list partners on our website, coordinate and share info for public collection locations.
