Backyard Humanitarians help, plant & harvest at the community garden at Fairgate Farm in Stamford and plant, cleanup and participate in beautification projects at Cove Island Park & Mill River Park. There is an opportunity for individuals, on a regular basis. Projects are planned around larger groups.

Cove Island Conservancy -The Conservancy is here to coordinate your interests in the Park with the City of Stamford and a long range goal to improve this wonderful place. Description One of the most beautiful locations in Fairfield County although in need of a little TLC.
JOSH AND TYLER STEPHENS MEMORIAL FUND
Backyard Humanitarians participate in events and raise awareness for the fund. The events are a Walk-A-Thon, Softball Tournament and a Golf Tournament.
About the Fund: The Joshua and Tyler Stephens Memorial Fund is a youth enrichment program for ages birth-18 years that provides training and scholarships in Community Service Projects, Athletic and Academic scholarships, Social Relations via Workshops and Education Programs throughout Fairfield county, Connecticut. In 2007, tragedy struck the Stephens family of Stamford with the passing of their two youngest boys, Joshua 9, and Tyler 5. The fund, was set-up in memory of Josh and Tyler, has been created to give children the opportunity to achieve thier personal best by providing a monetary resource to those who would not otherwise be able to participate or experience their dream. The proceeds will assist the fund to continue to help youths academic scholarships, fitness/sports scholarship and to help literacy programs for all Stamford school libraries in our community.The Josh and Tyler Stephens Memorial Fund (J & T Fund) is a fund that will contribute to children year round.
